Shipping & Returns

Before you return a Kalkatte Vaali product, please take a moment to understand how our products are made. All our products are hand crafted by traditional artisans using traditional techniques of weaving, embroidering, dying & painting resulting in each product being unique and slightly different from each other. Most of the processes are manual; hence the irregularities which may occur are characteristic of the process and not counted as a defect.

All orders go through a stringent quality check before shipping. However, in the off chance that you have received a damaged product, please notify us at care@kalkattevaali.in within 24 hours of receiving the order.

NOTE

• Processing & shipping clothing orders would take1 to 3 working day’s time.
• Processing and shipping Pattachitra would take 10-15 working days time as the crafts are made to order.
• We do not offer Refunds and we accept Returns against Exchange or Store credit valid for 12 months.
• The product bought will only be accepted for exchange if informed within 24 hours after the delivery and are in perfect condition with no damage, stains or marks. The Kalkatte Vaali team holds the right to not accept returns in case the product is used or damaged by the customer.
• Exchange is only applicable once and with the products of equal price value or more.
• No Returns or Exchanges for Discounted/Sale products
• Shipping charges are non-refundable
• In case of exchange, customers are required to pay Rs. 250 exchange fee for us to book the reverse pick up and send the exchanged piece.
• Parcel sent to us without a prior email will not be accepted.
• Exchange is not applicable for international shipments as the logistics would not be economically viable.
• Exchange would not be applicable for Pattachitra Art work as they are made to order. As the paintings are purely hand crafted, they ought to have irregularities because of the involvement of human hands.

• The Pattachitra paintings are non-returnable as they are made to order.
  Any imperfections or irregularities should be appreciated as unique characteristics of hand-painted craftsmanship. The expressions of the Pattachitra figures may vary since they are hand-drawn, and such variations are an inherent part of the artistic process.

  We strive to replicate the displayed paintings as closely as possible, but each artist brings their own flair to the work. Despite these variations, every piece of Pattachitra art created is unique and beautiful, reflecting the rich heritage and authenticity of this traditional craft. Expecting a perfectly identical reproduction would be an undue constraint on the artist’s creativity.

• Exchange would not be applicable for Urban Sketches. Each of the creations are distinct in nature & you would receive what you see online. With the virtue of the E authentication issued by the Urban Sketch artist, it is deemed to understand that the work cannot be replicated either by the artist or by anyone. In a circumstance of such a sort, replication of urban sketches would have legal implications.

• We aim to keep every item on our website in stock barring a few categories.  If there is an item that you purchase and then we realize this item is not available, we will promptly inform you within 2 working days of your purchase and fully refund your money for the out of a stock item.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation will only be accepted if your order hasn’t been shipped. 

Cancellation of MADE TO ORDER crafts ( Pattachitra ) would be accepted only if informed via email within 6 hours of placing the orders, crossing which would be understood as order confirmed.

A cancellation fee of Rs. 500 or 4% whichever is higher will be charged on orders.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We ship worldwide. Your purchase will be shipped through a reliable courier partner. Please allow up to 2 to 3 weeks for your package to arrive. Some areas may take longer depending on customs. Due to the nature of international shipping, occasionally a customer may have to pay additional import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The majority of orders will not have to pay any additional fees. However, we are unable to calculate when and how much these infrequent customs duty charges will be levied. In the case where additional customs charges are assessed, you will be responsible for paying these additional fees.
