Details

The Babu’s of erstwhile Bengal, cherished their life that was filled with privileges. When it came to their daily food habits, compromise wasn’t a word in their scheme of things. Fish being the staple, they would ensure that they hand picked the best from the mandi/bazaar. Such diligence & hardwork naturally called for an afternoon siesta after the most satiating meal of the day.

Bengal Pattachitra paintings are priceless collectibles. The pattachitra painting is an art form that originated in 19th century Bengal, in the vicinity of Kali Temple in Kolkata and is considered to be one of the earliest forms of pop art in India.
