Saree Description :
100 percent handwoven, this Pure Tussar Silk Kantha Stitch saree is as beautifully ‘dramatic’ as it gets. The dark leafy green dyed tussar base of the saree, gives this saree a unique edge. The state-of-the-art hand embroidered kantha on the rich green accentuates the saree’s grace further. Inside the border of alternate-inverted temple stitch, the saree has quirky elephants embroidered throughout. The power pact frame of the saree is balanced by the dainty yet intricate flower embroidery on the body of this saree. The entire kantha work of this saree is embroidered out of red, powder pink and white cotton threads. Despite being so contemporary in its spirit, there is traditional grace to this saree. This naturally makes Binodini extremely versatile, perfect for wearing to a wedding or even a cocktail night! Be it the colour scheme, or its most quirky, rare embroidery, Binodini has drama written all over it. It is for this that we chose to name this saree after one of the first South-Asian actresses, Binodini Dasi. This saree is a woven ode to this rebel, who started as a Tawaif and ended up being one of the first female actresses, this world had seen. Binodini is a woven ode to all the women who dare to break stereotypes and pave the way for fellow women to follow their footsteps!
