If the canvas of this saree, isn’t unique enough, the sheer beauty of the yellow green floral hand embroidered kantha stitch on the saree, adds more to its charm. Durba- Kantha embroidered on pure Tussar Silk Saree

Woven out of authentic ‘Gheeya’ Tussar Silk, this saree forms a perfect canvas for the intricate hand embroidery done on it. Drawing from the name chosen for it, Durba has an overpowering use of rich green cotton cotton threads for its Kantha stitch. The red border of this saree is again a unique feature, completely embroidered in ‘Jhiri Raan’ pattern and not dyed! Moreover a keen look on the extensive artistry on its pallu would reveal that a unique numerical pattern of ‘three’ has been in synchrony throughout the embroidery. Ishra- Natural vegetable tie & dye pure Tussar silk saree

The body of this saree is dyed in a rich and gleaming turmeric yellow hue. This particular dye has been extracted from the indian spice turmeric. The border of this saree is dyed in a regal dark grey. Indian walnut or ‘Hortoki’ an Indian fruit has been used to accomplish this shade of colour. Kumud- Natural vegetable tie & dye pure Tussar silk saree
₹14,200.00Saree Description : This saree is a 100 percent handwoven Tye-Dye Tussar Silk. All the tye-dye tussar silks from our collection are made out of 100 percent natural vegetable colours. The body of this saree is dyed in pristine lavender pink. To achieve this hue our artisans have used Lac. Lac is an insect found in India and parts of South Asian. The border of this tye-dye wonder is drenched in olive green. Bringing this shade to life was quite a task for our artisans. Extractions from ‘Hortoki’ (Indian Walnut) and marigold flower were accumulated. The extractions were mixed to achieve this particular shade. While the hortoki rendered the darkness of the colour, marigold rendered its optimum lightness and shine. A beautiful mixture of pink and green, this saree is almost a visual allegory of a lotus flower. It is for this reason we named it Kumud, meaning lotus in Sanskrit. When you don Kumud, you don the woven ode of women, who like lotuses are continuing to flourish in the murky adversities of life!
